- Clash of Civilizations Battlefield in Evony: The Ultimate Guide to Victory
Clash of Civilization on Evony Clash of Civilizations Battlefield in Evony: The Ultimate Guide to Victory The Clash of Civilizations (CoC) battlefield in Evony: The King's Return is a thrilling, server-versus-server event that brings together top players from eight servers for intense strategic warfare. This guide dives into the mechanics, strategies, and rewards of the CoC battlefield, optimized for players searching for tips to dominate this epic event. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned monarch, this overview will help you master the Clash of Civilizations and claim top rewards. What is the Clash of Civilizations Battlefield? The Clash of Civilizations event is a two-stage competition in Evony designed to test your combat prowess and alliance coordination. The first stage, Clash of Civilizations – Assault, takes place on your home server, where players compete to earn scores by defeating event monsters and occupying buildings. The top 25 players from each server qualify for the second stage: the Clash of Civilizations Battlefield, a 2-hour showdown where 200 players (25 from each of eight servers) battle for supremacy. This event, updated as of January 15, 2024, offers unique mechanics, buffs, and rewards, making it a highlight of Evony's competitive landscape. How to Qualify for the Battlefield To participate in the Clash of Civilizations Battlefield, you must rank in the top 25 on your server during the Assault stage. This stage involves: Defeating Shadow of Dawn Monsters : These range from levels 1 to 10 and are easy to kill, similar to regular monsters, providing event scores. Occupying or Reinforcing Order of Dawn Buildings : Structures like Dawn Temple, Dawn Sanctuary, and Eclipse Strongholds yield scores when occupied. Defeating these buildings multiple times grants buffs, such as 30% healing for wounded troops or massive attack boosts (up to 150% for 10 minutes). The Assault stage typically runs for 2 days, and scores determine your eligibility for the battlefield. Coordinating with your alliance to target high-level monsters and buildings is key to securing a top spot. Clash of Civilizations Battlefield Mechanics The battlefield, lasting 2 hours with a 5-minute grace period, pits eight servers against each other in a dynamic map with unique buildings and objectives. Here’s how it works: Safe Zones and Initial Setup: Each server starts with five buildings in a Safe Zone, including an Empire City and Empire Turret. A 15-minute truce prevents attacks on Empire Cities at the start, allowing players to reinforce their own city. Key Buildings and Scoring : Empire City: Conquering another server’s Empire City (30 minutes of continuous occupation) grants a 15% bonus to your total scores. Occupying it earns 3–20 scores per second based on troop power (40M–120M). Blessing Tower (10 total) : Occupation provides a 20% server-wide attack and defense buff and 16 scores per minute. Empire Turret : Attacks enemy troops in the Empire City every 60 seconds, earning 500 scores per minute of occupation. Rally Hall (10 total) : Increases server rally capacity by 15%, earning 500 scores per minute. Battlefield Hospital (10 total): Boosts server healing speed by 60%, earning 500 scores per minute. Temple of Civilization : Located at the map’s center, occupation yields 10–40 scores per second based on troop power (40M–700M). Order of Dawn Buildings : These refresh periodically and require multiple attacks to defeat. Complete defeat grants buffs (e.g., 150% attack, defense, and HP for 10 minutes), and occupation before destruction earns high scores. Troop Kills : Killing 1,000,000 troops of levels 14 or 15 earns 240 or 280 scores, respectively. Battlefield Buffs : Players receive Solar Sight, Lunar Sight, and an Auxiliary Buff, which adds troops proportional to your server’s ranking, enhancing your combat power. The battlefield emphasizes server teamwork, with all players from the same server sharing a chat to coordinate rallies and strategies. Strategies for Success in Clash of Civilizations To excel in the CoC Battlefield, consider these tips : Prepare During the Assault Stage : Focus on defeating high-level Shadow of Dawn monsters (Lv7–10) for maximum scores. Scout Order of Dawn buildings to identify troop types (e.g., ground or siege-focused) and use layered marches to minimize losses. Coordinate with your alliance to rally against buildings, as multiple attacks are needed to defeat them. Battlefield Coordination : Use the server-wide chat or external platforms like Line to organize rallies and target key buildings like the Temple of Civilization or enemy Empire Cities. Prioritize occupying Blessing Towers early for server-wide buffs, boosting your team’s combat effectiveness. Reinforce your Empire City during the 15-minute truce to deter early attacks. Troop Management : Deploy high-power troops (40M–700M) for buildings like the Temple of Civilization to maximize scores. Use layered marches to reduce wounded troops, especially against Order of Dawn buildings with high-tier enemies (t13–t15). Leverage the Battlefield Hospital’s 60% healing speed buff to recover troops quickly. Alliance and Server Strategy : Work with your server’s top 25 players to focus on high-value targets like the Temple of Civilization or Rally Halls to boost rally capacity. Avoid internal conflicts, as all players from your server are on the same team. Maximize Buffs : Target Order of Dawn buildings for powerful buffs (e.g., Dawn Temple’s 150% attack boost) to gain an edge in battles. Use Auxiliary Buffs wisely, as they scale with your server’s ranking, providing extra troops for critical moments. Rewards and Rankings Rewards in the Clash of Civilizations Battlefield are distributed based on : Individual Scores : Earned through occupying buildings and killing enemy troops. Top players receive gems, resources, and exclusive items like avatar frames or castle decorations. Server Rankings : Servers are ranked by total scores, with top servers earning better rewards. Conquering an Empire City boosts your server’s score by 15%. Alliance Points : Alliances contribute to server scores, and high-ranking alliances receive additional rewards. Civilization Ultimate Battlefield : Top servers from the CoC Battlefield qualify for this elite event, starting September 1, 2024, with three stages (Preliminary, Semifinal, Final) and 512 spots. Only servers open for over 5 months are eligible. Community feedback notes that rewards in the Assault stage can be underwhelming, but the battlefield offers better payouts, especially for top 50 players. Free healing during the battlefield reduces resource costs, making it appealing for active players. Community Insights and Challenges The Evony community, particularly on Reddit’s r/Evony_TKR, highlights mixed sentiments about the event. Players appreciate the strategic depth but criticize the rewards for lower ranks and occasional bugs, such as events disappearing from the event center. Coordinating with other alliances on your server can be challenging, especially if server dynamics are competitive, but tools like Line chat improve communication. Some players view the event as a “pay-to-win” scheme targeting big spenders, but free-to-play players can still succeed with smart coordination. Why Play Clash of Civilizations? The Clash of Civilizations Battlefield is a must-play for Evony enthusiasts seeking competitive, large-scale battles. It combines elements of Battle of Gaugamela (BoG), Chalons, and Server vs. Server (SvS) warfare, offering a unique challenge. With strategic planning, alliance teamwork, and optimized troop deployment, you can lead your server to victory and earn exclusive rewards. Ready to dominate the Clash of Civilizations? Update your game to the latest version, join the Assault stage (next scheduled for August 21, 2025), and rally your server to conquer the battlefield! In a recent YouTube video from EmpireBuildAcademy, host Favian breaks down the highlights of this major update, including two new generals, a slew of engaging events, and optimizations that enhance the player experience. Whether you’re a seasoned monarch or just starting your empire, this SEO-friendly guide dives into the key features of the Evony 5.0.0 update, offering tips to help you dominate the battlefield. Let’s explore what’s new and how to make the most of it! Key Highlights of the Evony 5.0.0 Update The version 5.0.0 update introduces exciting additions to Evony: The King’s Return, focusing on new generals, event variety, and gameplay optimizations. Below, we detail the major updates covered in the EmpireBuildAcademy video, optimized for players searching for Evony strategies, new generals, and event guides. 1. Two New Generals: Helena and Artemisia I The update introduces two powerful generals, each bringing unique buffs to enhance your army’s performance: Helena : As a Holy Palace Officer, Helena boosts healing speed by 20% and increases ranged troops and siege machines’ attack, defense, and HP by 15%. Her specialties and ascension perks make her a top-tier choice for players focusing on defensive strategies or healing efficiency. Favian highlights her as a “really decent” addition, ideal for managing wounded troops during intense battles like Server vs. Server (SvS) or Clash of Civilizations. Artemisia I : A ranged-focused general, Artemisia I offers a massive 55% boost to ranged troops’ attack and defense and 35% to HP when leading an army to attack. While she lacks a base march size buff, her three-star ascension provides a 10% march size increase, making her a strong contender for ranged-focused players. Favian notes her title as the “Queen of Caria” and invites community feedback on whether she outshines existing ranged generals. These generals, available through the Tavern’s recruit system, add new strategic depth, encouraging players to experiment with army compositions and event tactics. 2. New and Returning Events The update is packed with events, offering players multiple ways to earn rewards like resources, blazons, and exclusive items. Favian highlights several key events: Lucky Bag Strike Event : A gem-based draw event where players can earn random rewards, including the coveted Golden Lucky Gift. These gifts, stored in temporary storage, can be exchanged for rewards using Golden Lucky Bags, obtained by defeating monsters, gathering resources, or purchasing event packages. Favian notes the event’s daily draw limits and the need to manage storage space to continue drawing. He praises its value, especially at a 10,000-coin cost for certain rewards, calling it “pretty decent” and worth participating in. Tomb Expedition Event : This new event sends players on an adventurous journey to unlock the Officer Equipment Scroll Chest No. 2, containing all six Consul and Hospital officer equipment pieces. Collecting multiple pieces unlocks powerful set attributes, boosting your officers’ effectiveness. Favian briefly mentions this event, noting its appeal for players seeking to enhance their officer gear. Divination of Fate : A new event offering additional rewards, though specific details are not covered in the video. It’s accessible via the Event Center and likely involves tasks like monster hunting or resource gathering. Returning Events : Favian also mentions ongoing events like Ranger Night Order, Hypnos Dream, Grace of Star Trail, Blessing of Palace, Sulish Wishing Pool, Super Feeding Event, and Consuming Return Event. The Consuming Return Event, appearing three times consecutively, is particularly exciting for Favian, as it provides stamina rewards, helping players maintain activity during resource-heavy events. The Revelation of Horus and Arctic Barbarians events are also live, with the former starting the day after the video’s release. These events keep the game engaging, offering both free-to-play (F2P) and paying players opportunities to earn valuable rewards. 3. Gameplay Optimizations The update includes several quality-of-life improvements to streamline gameplay : Rally Monthly Card Optimization: Improved level selection icons for auto-join rallies against boss monsters. A square appears when some levels are selected, and a check mark shows when all levels are chosen, making it easier to configure rallies in the Alliance War tab. March Preset Selection: Selected marches now display a check mark, while unselected marches show no icon, improving clarity when setting up auto-join marches. Civilization Card Enhancements : The update refines the Civilization Card system, showing card preview probabilities, collection progress on compose, recycle, and list pages, and adding four quick-action buttons (compose, recycle, exchange, card pack). The exchange confirmation page now displays both players’ collection statuses, and issues with abnormal card displays post-exchange have been fixed. Great General Chest Update : A new points-based chest reward system grants points for each Key of Conscription used. Accumulating enough points unlocks a points chest. An “Open All” button allows players to spend all keys at once, streamlining the process of opening general chests in the Tavern. These optimizations enhance usability, particularly for alliance coordination and card management, making gameplay more intuitive. 4. Additional Notes Favian emphasizes the importance of updating the Evony app to version 5.0.0 to access these new generals and events, as some players may not see them otherwise. He also shares event details on his website, empireacademy.com, and the YouTube community tab, providing a one-stop resource for players seeking additional information. Strategic Tips for the 5.0.0 Update To maximize your success with the Evony 5.0.0 update, consider these tips: Leverage New Generals : Recruit Helena for healing-focused strategies in events like Arctic Barbarians, and use Artemisia I for ranged-heavy attacks in Clash of Civilizations. Experiment with their ascension perks to unlock additional buffs like march size. Participate in Events : Prioritize the Lucky Bag Strike and Tomb Expedition events for high-value rewards like Golden Lucky Gifts and officer equipment. Use monster kills and resource gathering to earn Golden Lucky Bags without spending gems. Optimize Rally and March Settings : Take advantage of the updated rally and march preset icons to streamline alliance coordination, especially for boss monster rallies in events like Revelation of Horus. Manage Civilization Cards : Use the new quick-action buttons and exchange features to complete your card collections efficiently, boosting your empire’s buffs. Stock Up on Stamina : Focus on the Consuming Return Event to earn stamina, as Favian notes its frequent recurrence makes it ideal for maintaining activity during resource-intensive events. Check for Updates : Ensure your app is updated to version 5.0.0 to access all new features and events. Visit empireacademy.com for detailed event guides. Community Reactions and Insights While specific feedback on version 5.0.0 is limited in the video, the Evony community on platforms like Reddit’s r/Evony_TKR offers context. Players generally welcome new generals and events, with one Reddit post praising the strategic depth of updates like 4.96.0 (April 2025). However, there’s ongoing debate about monetization, with some criticizing the high cost of premium items (e.g., $350 for past event generals). Favian’s enthusiasm for events like Lucky Bag Strike suggests they’re F2P-friendly, but players may need to balance gem spending with free rewards from monster kills and resource gathering. Why This Update Matters The Evony 5.0.0 update is a game-changer, introducing powerful generals like Helena and Artemisia I, a variety of engaging events, and user-friendly optimizations. These changes enhance strategic depth, making it an exciting time to dive into Evony: The King’s Return. - Server Merge on Evony May 2025: Are You Being Merged? | Empire Build Academy
Server Merge on Evony Evony Server Merge May 2025 : What You Need to Know to Thrive The Evony: The King's Return community is buzzing with the latest server merge announcement, detailed in a recent video by Favian from Empire Build Academy, published on May 30, 2025. This update, tied to the first server merger of 2025, promises to shake up gameplay by combining servers for a more competitive and engaging experience. Whether you're a seasoned monarch or facing your first merge, this SEO-friendly blog post breaks down the key details, impacts, and strategies to help you navigate the changes. Let’s dive into the May 2025 server merge and how it affects your Evony journey! What is the Evony Server Merge? Announced on May 27, 2025, by Top Games Inc., the first server merger of 2025 aims to enhance gameplay by merging pairs of servers into a shared world map, as detailed in Favian’s video Huge Update Evony 5 00 0 and the official Evony News Center Evony News. The merge combines servers based on their Server vs. Server (SvS) rankings, with the higher-ranked server determining the new server’s number. For example, Favian shares his experience of moving from server 1525 to 1429 in a previous merge, highlighting the disruptions and opportunities that come with such changes. Key points of the merge include : Shared World Map : Players from both servers share the same map but can log in through their original server access. Preserved Personal Data : All progress, including building levels, VIP status, gems, gold, resources, subordinate cities, generals, troops, and items, remains intact. Alliance Changes : Alliances persist, but alliance buildings like the Alliance City are removed and must be rebuilt (at no cost if previously built). Alliance donations and stored resources reappear after rebuilding the Alliance Warehouse. Reset Mechanics : Competitions like Throne War restart 24 hours post-merge, Monarch Competition and Undead Event records are reset, and world chat messages are deleted. Monarch names may gain a number (e.g., Evony 1, Evony 2) to avoid duplicates. The merge targets servers with low activity, such as older servers like 107 and 209, to boost competition and engagement. However, the exact date remains vague, described as “in the near future,” leaving players to prepare strategically. How the Server Merge Impacts Gameplay Favian emphasizes the significant impact of server merges on event rankings and competition dynamics. Here’s a detailed look at what changes: Increased Competition in Events : Events like Blood of Ares or Tactics Researching see tougher competition post-merge due to a larger pool of active players. Favian notes that he previously ranked in the top 5 for Blood of Ares but now struggles to hit the top 20, requiring more tactical spending and planning. This shift affects players who rely on high rankings for rewards, as new players from the merged server may outpace existing rankings. Alliance and Subordinate City Dynamics : Alliance buildings are removed, and players are randomly teleported on the new world map, requiring alliances to rebuild strategically. Subordinate cities are preserved, with the higher-ranked server retaining its NPC sub-cities, while the lower-ranked server’s NPC sub-cities are removed. Bookmarks are also deleted, as they become obsolete. Potential Data Concerns : Favian raises a question about saved in-game mail, noting that during his previous merge, some messages were lost. He’s unsure if this was a bug or due to unsaved messages, and invites community feedback to clarify whether players need to save important mails before the merge. This uncertainty highlights the importance of preparing for potential data glitches. Reset Resources and Events : Resource spots, monsters, and relics reset, and troops outside return to the city, altering resource-gathering strategies. Competitions like Monarch Competition reset, with rewards for the last stage sent out, providing a fresh start but potentially disrupting ongoing progress. Strategic Tips for the May 2025 Server Merge To thrive during and after the server merge, consider these SEO-friendly strategies inspired by Favian’s insights and community advice : Prepare for Event Ranking Shifts : Before the merge, maximize your participation in events like Blood of Ares or Voyage to Civilizations to secure high rankings and rewards. Use resources strategically to boost your score, as post-merge competition will be fiercer. Favian suggests being “more tactical” with spending, focusing on high-value actions to maintain rankings. Secure Subordinate Cities : Ensure your subordinate cities are set up before the merge, as prestige rankings may drop, reducing sub-city slots. Community tips from Theria Games recommend capturing desired subs before the merge to avoid losing slots. Coordinate with Your Alliance : Rebuild the Alliance City immediately after the merge, as it costs no resources or time if previously built. Coordinate with alliance members to choose a strategic location on the new map. Reach out to the merging server’s players, as Favian suggests, to discuss rules like Non-Aggression Pacts (NAPs) or king selection for a smoother transition. Save Important Mails : Until clarified, save critical in-game mails to avoid potential loss, as Favian experienced in his previous merge. Check the comments section of his video for community updates on this issue. Stay Informed on Merge Timing : The announcement’s vague “in the near future” timeline means players should monitor official Evony channels or community forums like r/Evony_TKR for updates. Past merges, like those in August 2024, provided 10 days’ notice, but recent trends suggest shorter timelines. Community Reactions and Insights The Evony community, particularly on Reddit’s r/Evony_TKR, has mixed feelings about server merges. Some players view them positively, as Favian does, noting that they make SvS battles more competitive and engaging. A Reddit post from January 2025 highlights how merges can address power imbalances by revitalizing “dead” servers with low activity. However, others express concerns about losing rankings or dealing with toxic dynamics from merged servers, with one user noting, “Some server mergers make you realize you only thought your server had issues.” Favian’s call for community feedback on mail preservation and merge experiences underscores the importance of player collaboration. His video encourages viewers to share their insights in the comments, fostering a sense of community engagement. Why the Server Merge Matters The May 2025 server merge, as detailed by Favian, is a game-changer for Evony players. It revitalizes quieter servers, boosts competition, and aligns with the Civilization Celebration events launched concurrently, offering rewards like Civilization Scrolls and Star Goddess’ Box. While it introduces challenges like tougher event rankings and potential data concerns, it also creates opportunities for new strategies and alliances. Final Thoughts and Next Steps The May 2025 server merge is a pivotal moment for Evony: The King’s Return players, as highlighted in Empire Build Academy’s video. By preparing for increased competition, securing your subordinate cities, and coordinating with your alliance, you can turn this merge into an opportunity to grow your empire. Favian’s insights, combined with community tips, provide a roadmap for navigating these changes successfully. Are you facing the May 2025 server merge? Strategic Tip: Combine Trap Factory upgrades with Wall research to create a formidable defense. Useful for players under frequent attack in PvP servers. 13. Watchtower Purpose: Provides scouting reports and warnings about incoming enemy troops, aiding in defense preparation. Max Level: Varies by Keep level Key Benefits: Higher levels offer more detailed scouting reports, helping you counter enemy strategies. Strategic Tip: Upgrade early to stay informed about threats, especially in PvP-heavy servers. Pair with a strong defense general for optimal protection. 14. Art Hall Purpose: Collects artworks that provide buffs to your city, troops, or resource production. Build Requirement: Keep level 11 Max Level: Varies by Keep level Key Benefits: Artworks offer unique bonuses, such as increased attack or resource yields, enhancing overall gameplay. Strategic Tip: Unlock and upgrade the Art Hall as soon as possible to access powerful buffs. Prioritize artworks that align with your playstyle (e.g., combat or growth). 15. Arsenal Purpose: Upgrades troop levels (e.g., from level 10 to 11), increasing their strength and effectiveness. Max Level: Varies by Keep level Key Benefits: Higher levels allow upgrading to higher-tier troops, crucial for late-game battles. Strategic Tip: Focus on Arsenal upgrades after building a sizable army to enhance troop power for events like SvS or Arctic Barbarians. 16. Rally Spot Purpose: Amplifies army size for battles, exploration, or attacks on enemy strongholds. Max Level: Varies by Keep level Key Benefits: Upgrading increases march size, allowing larger armies to be deployed. Strategic Tip: Prioritize Rally Spot upgrades before major battles to boost army strength. Essential for events requiring large marches, like Clash of Civilizations. 17. Market Purpose: Provides a daily selection of resources and items for purchase or trade. Max Level: Varies by Keep level Key Benefits: Offers access to resources, speedups, or other items, updated daily for variety. Strategic Tip: Check the Market daily for valuable deals, especially during resource-intensive events. Use gems sparingly to maximize value. 18. Tavern Purpose: Recruits generals, including rare golden historic generals, for a cost in gems or gold. Max Level: Varies by Keep level Key Benefits: Higher levels increase the quality and frequency of available generals, critical for boosting troop performance. Strategic Tip: Refresh the Tavern regularly to recruit top generals, as they significantly enhance battles and city development. Save gems for high-value recruits. 19. Bunker Purpose: Protects troops from being killed during attacks, reducing losses. Max Level: Varies by Keep level Key Benefits: Higher levels increase troop protection capacity, preserving your army during PvP or SvS. Strategic Tip: Upgrade the Bunker to minimize troop losses, especially if you’re frequently targeted. Pair with healing-focused research for faster recovery. 20. Holy Palace Purpose: Enhances subordinate city management and provides buffs for subordinate cities. Build Requirement: Higher Keep level (typically late-game) Max Level: Varies by Keep level Key Benefits: Improves subordinate city production and defense, boosting overall empire strength. Strategic Tip: Unlock the Holy Palace in the late game to maximize subordinate city benefits, especially after server merges when sub-cities are critical. 21. Farm, Sawmill, Quarry, Iron Mine Purpose: Produces resources (food, lumber, stone, iron) to support construction, research, and troop training. Max Level: Varies by Keep level Key Benefits: Higher levels increase resource production rates, though gathering from the world map is faster for large-scale needs. Strategic Tip: Build and upgrade multiple resource buildings early, but prioritize world map gathering with siege units for efficiency, as BlueStacks suggests. Strategic Tips for Building Management Prioritize Key Buildings: Focus on the Keep, Academy, and Walls early to unlock features and strengthen defenses. Upgrade resource buildings and troop training facilities (Barracks, Archer Camp, Stables, Workshop) to support growth. Use Speedups Wisely: Avoid auto-using Speedups, as Empire Build Academy advises, to save them for critical upgrades like the Keep or Academy. Choose the Right Culture: Select a culture that aligns with your goals (e.g., Korea for faster lumber production, Japan for food) to boost specific building efficiencies. Alliance Synergy: Join a strong alliance to share resources and rally support, making War Hall and Rally Spot upgrades more impactful. Balance Offense and Defense: Upgrade offensive buildings (e.g., Barracks, Stables) for events like Arctic Barbarians, and defensive buildings (e.g., Walls, Trap Factory) for PvP protection. Community Insights and Considerations The Evony community, particularly on Reddit’s r/Evony_TKR, emphasizes the importance of strategic building upgrades to stay competitive. Players note that neglecting buildings like the Academy or Warehouse can hinder progress, especially in PvP-heavy servers. However, some criticize the game’s monetization, as premium upgrades often require gems or real-money purchases, a sentiment echoed in reviews on the App Store. Free-to-play players can succeed by focusing on resource gathering and event participation, but strategic building management is key. Conclusion Buildings in Evony: The King’s Return are the backbone of your empire, each serving a unique role in growth, defense, and combat. From the central Keep to the resource-protecting Warehouse and troop-enhancing Arsenal, understanding and prioritizing these structures will set you up for success in 2025’s competitive landscape. Use this guide to plan your upgrades, leverage your culture’s bonuses, and dominate events like Clash of Civilizations. Have questions about building strategies or facing the latest server merge? - Stop Doing This on Evony
Players Are Still Doing This on Evony Stop Doing This on Evony Evony: 2 Hidden Features Players Are Still Missing in 2025 Welcome back to the Empire Build Academy ! I’m Favian, and today I’m highlighting two lesser-known features in Evony that players might still be overlooking as of June 2025. I’ve covered one issue before, but a new one has caught my attention. Let’s dive in! Feature 1: Setting Up Troop Layers in March Presets One feature that’s flying under the radar is the ability to customize troop layers in your March presets. Here’s how to do it: Access March Presets : Go to your March preset menu. You’ll see various setups, like my 2.5 million troop configuration. Enable Layers : Long-press the preset icon. This opens a box where you can adjust tiers. For example, hold to set four tiers. Customize Layers : In the box, input your desired troop count per layer (e.g., 50 for each). Hit “OK,” then click the green “Full Tiers” button to apply it across all layers. This method streamlines adding layers to all presets, saving time and ensuring balanced marches. It’s a game-changer for efficient troop management! Feature 2: Optimizing Monster Hunt Auto-Join Another overlooked tool is the Monster Hunt auto-join feature. I use it, and you should too, but with a tweak: Check Auto-Join Settings : Access the Monster Hunt menu. I’ve joined multiple hunts, but some players target low-tier monsters unnecessarily. Set Level Filters : For example, in the Viking Hell hunt, I’ve set it to kill Level 31+ monsters only. Similarly, in the Cerberus hunt, I’ve deselected Levels 1-2, focusing on Levels 3-4. Why It Matters : This ensures you tackle higher-tier monsters for better rewards, maximizing your effort. Adjusting these settings prevents wasting time on weak foes—perfect for boosting your progress! Why These Tips Matter These small adjustments can significantly enhance your Evony experience. I’ve noticed players missing out, and I hope this video helps you avoid the same pitfalls. Stay tuned for more insights! What’s Next? - Monarch Competition Update on Evony
Monarch Competition Change on Evony Monarch Competition Update on Evony 2025 Evony Monarch Competition Update 2025: Tiered Changes Revealed Welcome back to the Empire Build Academy ! I’m Favian, and on this Monday afternoon (June 19, 2025, 11:18 AM BST), I’m excited to share a recent update to the Evony Monarch Competition. This change, noticed on my new speed-build account, now applies to older accounts too. Let’s dive into the PC version and explore! What’s New: Tiered Monarch Competition The traditional Monarch Competition has evolved into a Tiered Monarch Competition , accessible via the Event Center. Here’s the breakdown: Group Assignment : Based on your keep level, you’re placed in groups (e.g., K38, K39 for me). Groups range from Novice to Super, with higher keep levels unlocking better rewards. If your keep level rises during the event, you’ll be reassigned. Daily Themes : Each day features a unique task. Today’s theme is General Enhancing . Tasks include: Consume 1 Blood of Ares for 10 points. Use 100 General EXP for 0.1 points, scaling up to 20K General EXP. Recruit generals for additional points. Rewards : Three chests offer escalating rewards: Final chest: 1,600 gems, 2 Blood of Ares, 1 Blazing Chest, 5 General Invitations. Monarch Ranking : Compete daily against players from multiple servers (e.g., 1,447 participants noted). Top ranks earn big: 1st Place: 99,000 gems, 35 Blood of Ares, 40 12-hour speedups, resources, and research stones. Competition Support Pack A new pack provides a 20% daily score bonus upon purchase, with theme-specific rewards. It’s optional but enhances your scoring potential—decide if it fits your strategy! Event Details Duration : 7 days, with daily theme and task changes. Scoring : Complete tasks to hit daily targets for score and ranking rewards, distributed once daily to all with scores above zero. Is This an Improvement? This shift to cross-server competition adds excitement but raises questions. Is it a genuine upgrade, or just a nudge to buy packs? On my old account, this was absent, but my new account had it pre-installed. The info tab confirms the tiered structure, but the pack push feels familiar. What Do You Think? I’d love your input! Comment below—do you find this tiered system better, or is it another Evony tactic to boost spending? Share your thoughts! What’s Next? - Evony Update: New General Alexander Hamilton & Independence Day Events Guide
Alexander Hamilton on Evony Welcome back to Empire Build Academy ! I’m Favian, and today we are diving into the latest Evony update. This update features the epic new general Alexander Hamilton and a plethora of Independence Day events. From massive rewards to strategic tips, this guide covers everything you need to dominate in Evony . Whether you’re a fan of mobile strategy games like King of Avalon , Lords Mobile , or Age of Empires , or Evony is your first love like it is mine, let’s explore this exciting update! Introducing Alexander Hamilton: The Ground Troop Titan The star of this Evony update is Alexander Hamilton , a Founding Father of America and a powerful Epic Historic General . He is available through the tavern’s America recruitment portraits. Hamilton brings game-changing buffs for ground-focused players. Here’s a breakdown of his abilities: Special Skill : Increases ground troops’ attack, defense, and HP by 35% when leading an army. Pair him with a dragon or spiritual beast , and ground and mounted troops’ attack boosts by an additional 20% . Specialties : Focused on ground troop attack buffs, making him ideal for PvP and monster hunting. Ascension : At 4-star ascension , you gain +10% march size capacity , a critical stat for larger armies. Covenant : Requires three specific generals for extra buffs. This includes +8% march size capacity at the fifth tier. Pro Tip Hamilton is a must-have for ground troop enthusiasts. Use Epic Historic General (Premium) tokens during recruitment to boost your chances of getting him! Community Question Have you recruited Alexander Hamilton yet? Share your thoughts on his buffs in the comments! Independence Day Events: Rewards & Opportunities The Independence Day theme brings a slew of events and packages to Evony , offering chances to score big rewards. Here’s what’s on offer: 1. Independence Day Packages Big Spenders’ Delight : The $99.99 pack includes Level 6 Barbarian King Tokens and Level 7 Premium Gear Chests . This is perfect for Arctic Barbarians players looking to power up. General Recruitment : These packages also offer a shot at Alexander Hamilton and other exclusive rewards. 2. King’s Party Event A staple of major updates, this event provides opportunities to earn resources, speed-ups, and more through tasks and purchases. 3. Historic General Summoning Use Epic Historic General (Premium) tokens to summon high-tier generals. Personally, I am saving up 51 tokens (45 standard + 6 glory) for a five-star ascension general, ideally a defense general . Have you seen defense generals in this event? Let us know in the comments! 4. Trial of Knights Use Blood of Ares to compete for rankings and rewards. I have over 5,000 Blood of Ares , but I aim for a top 20 spot. Check if your target general (e.g., Lunn ) is still available—I need 150 fragments to ascend his four-star Lun. 5. Feasting Rivalry & Grace of Star Trail Feasting Rivalry : Offers solid rewards for participation, making it worth your time. Grace of Star Trail : Spin for a chance at 20 or 50 tickets to summon epic generals. I scored Blood of Ares —not bad! 6. Other Events Stay on your toes for events like Voyage to Civilizations, Warlord Challenge , and Arctic Barbarians . Others include Ranger Knight Order, Astral Oracle, Blessing of Palace, Alchemy Shop , and Huns Invasion . Poseidon Day is also an option, a fishing event that I skip due to time constraints. Pro Tip Focus on events like Feasting Rivalry and Grace of Star Trail for accessible rewards. For big spenders, Arctic Barbarians tokens can boost your occupying power significantly. Officer General Swap Event: Worth It? The Officer General Swap Event allows you to exchange 90 fragments of an officer general for 30 fragments of another. For instance, you can swap Morris of Nassau for Stockless or Pericles for Blanch . I question its value because of the high cost and limited officer generals in my roster. Community Question Do you use the Officer General Swap? Is it beneficial for big spenders, or does it feel too expensive? Share your thoughts! Additional Update Highlights General Level-Up Optimizations : Streamlined progression for generals makes leveling up much smoother. Monarch Gear Composition : Improved gear management offers better customization options. Triumphal Arch Interface : Enhanced visuals and usability for a better user experience. Strategic Tips for Evony Players Optimize March Presets : Navigate to the Rally Spot > March Preset and adjust troop tiers. For example, change from 3,000 to 500 soldiers per tier to optimize your army setup. Many players overlook this feature! Monster Hunt Settings : In Monster Hunt , use Auto Join but customize levels to avoid low-tier monsters. Save stamina for higher-level monsters like Pan for better rewards and speed-ups. Defense General Strategy : Personally, I am saving tokens for a five-star ascension defense general . My playstyle focuses on defense with mounted troops. If you’ve spotted defense generals in the Historic General Summoning , share your insights in the comments! Follow Empire Build Academy : Visit empirebuildacademy.com for detailed guides on Evony , King of Avalon , Lords Mobile , Age of Empires , and more. - Is K50 Coming to Evony?
Is K50 Coming to Evony? Is K50 Finally Coming to Evony? A Deep Dive | Empire Build Academy Hey everyone, welcome back to *Empire Build Academy*! I’m Favian, and today I’m tackling a question that’s been on all our minds: **Is K50 finally coming to Evony?** I’ll share my reasoning, but first, let’s touch on some exciting updates from the Evony PC scene. Latest Evony Updates A quick update dropped today about the **Braves in Shadow** event, running from June 30th to July 31st, 2025, in honor of Disability 2025. This limited-time event pays tribute to warriors overcoming adversity. Collect **Bloody Insignias** to summon the unyielding blind general, Ziska, who leads his troops to victory despite his lack of sight. Don’t miss the **Blind General’s Legacy Package**, available at 50% off! Visit the event center to view the details. You can earn Bloody Insignias by gathering resources, killing monsters, or purchasing event packages. Each draw offers a chance to recruit the epic historic general Ziska, with a limit of 2 insignias per day from resource spots and 10 from monsters (12 total). Note: Insignias will disappear after the event, so use them wisely. Update your game to the latest version to participate. Also, Season 12 of the **Battle of Chalons: Constantinople Ultimate War Season** kicks off today, June 30th. This season spans six continents, and the top 256 alliances from each will compete in the major league for the championship. I’m hoping to improve on my last performance—fingers crossed for some fun along the way! The Case for K50 Now, onto the big question: **Is K50 coming?** There’s been buzz about it for a while, and every time we think it’s near—like with the 5.0 update—it doesn’t materialize. But recent evidence has me intrigued. In a video I posted recently, I explored the **Sulis Wishing Pool** in the Valuable Event. The resource pool jumped from 4,800 to 7,200—a 50% increase. This isn’t a small tweak; it’s a significant boost across all items, including 750 treasure boxes. When resources previously increased from 4 to 4.8, it was noticeable but minor. A 50% hike suggests something bigger might be on the horizon—perhaps K50? I can’t help but think this increase isn’t random. It feels like a setup for a major update. As a player still grinding at K39, this has me worried. I’m nowhere near upgrading to K40, needing 45-61 million resources, plus another 17 million for walls. With only 22 million saved, I’m far from ready—and K50 could reset everything! The Impact of K50 If K50 arrives, it might not be good news for me. As a casual payer, I’ve worked hard to build my defenses, but players are already advising I need 500 million to 1 billion T1 troops (I’ve only got 283 million). A K50 update could force me to start over, especially if new, superpowered generals or higher general levels are introduced. For payers, this could be a goldmine, with many likely jumping to K50 quickly. What Do You Think? I believe K50 is imminent, but I’d love to hear your thoughts! Was the 50% resource increase a hint, or am I off the mark? Drop your opinions in the comments. Are you planning to chase K50, or do you have strategies to handle it? Let me know how you’re preparing! Stay Connected Thanks for watching! Please continue supporting *Empire Build Academy* by subscribing—it means the world to me. I’ll see you in the next video soon. Until then, keep building your empire! 🏰 *Posted on June 30, 2025, at 15:25 PM BST*
- Best Wall Defense Generals in Evony 2025: Ultimate Guide to T1 Trap vs. T1 Defense
The Best Wall Generals on Evony 2025 Welcome to the Empire Build Academy! If you're an Evony: The King's Return enthusiast looking to fortify your city against relentless PvP attacks, you're in the right place. In this comprehensive guide, we'll dive into the best wall defense generals for 2025, explore the differences between T1 Trap and T1 Defense strategies, and share expert tips on optimizing your generals' equipment with advanced refining. Whether you're a free-to-play player or a seasoned strategist, this post will help you strengthen your keep for kingdom events, purges, and SvS battles. Let’s get started! Meet Your Guide: Favian from Empire Build Academy I’m Favian, the creator behind Empire Build Academy, where I share in-depth guides, reviews, and strategies for mobile war games like Evony, Rise of Kingdoms, and Guns of Glory. Evony is one of my all-time favorite games, and I’ve dedicated numerous guides on my YouTube channel and website (#) to help players master it. Today, we’re focusing on wall defense generals—key to protecting your city in Evony 2025. Don’t forget to subscribe to my channel and like this post to support more content like this! T1 Trap Strategy Focus: Utilizes a massive number of Tier 1 (T1) troops, especially T1 mounted, to absorb and disrupt solo attacks. Effectiveness: Excels against solo attacks by overwhelming attackers with sheer troop volume (300M+ T1 mounted recommended). Example: A player with 500M T1 mounted troops can survive the initial volley of a strong attacker’s march. Weakness: Vulnerable to rallies, especially if the attacker has strong buffs or a large march size. Investment: Relatively low-cost, primarily requiring food and wood for T1 troop training. T1 Defense Strategy Focus: Incorporates T1 troops with layers of higher-tier troops (T2, T3, and above) for a balanced, sustainable defense against various attack types, including rallies. Effectiveness: More robust against rallies and diverse attack strategies but requires careful planning and troop layering. Example: A mix of T1, T2, T3, and higher-tier ranged troops designed to counter specific attacker troop types. Weakness: Requires significant investment in higher-tier troops and complex troop management. Investment: Expensive due to resource demands for training T10+ troops. Key Differences Feature T1 Trap T1 Defense Troop Composition Primarily T1 troops, especially mounted Mix of T1 and higher-tier troops Attack Focus Solo attacks, disrupting patterns Rallies and diverse attack types Defense Depth Relies on sheer T1 troop volume Balanced layers of different tiers Investment Low-cost (food, wood) High-cost (resources for higher tiers) Where Do I Stand? My current setup (2.4B power, 290M T1 mounted) sits between the two strategies. I’m leaning toward a T1 Trap due to my limited higher-tier troops (e.g., 370K T14 ranged), but a T1 Defense could work with more investment. For now, I’m focusing on T1 mounted to optimize my trap strategy. Best Wall Defense Generals for Evony 2025 Choosing the right general is critical for a strong wall defense. Based on research from trusted sources like One Chilled Gamer (#), Evony Guide Wiki (#), and Cool Top Games (#), here are the top wall defense generals for 2025, categorized by troop type: Ground Troop Generals Top Pick: Zhang Fei (non-defense general but boosts ground troop attack and HP by 50%, defense by 40% when leading the army). Others: Isaac Brock, Leonidas I, Militiades. Why Choose Them? Ideal for players with large ground troop HP buffs for enhanced durability. Ranged Troop Generals Top Pick: Siegfried (excels in ranged troop buffs). Others: Zachary Taylor, Arthur Wellesley, Franz Joseph. Why Choose Them? Perfect for layered defenses focusing on ranged troops to counter attacker compositions. Siege Troop Generals Top Pick: Champlain (new general with strong siege buffs, recommended for Keep Level 40+). Others: Takenaka Shigeharu , Edward Teach. Why Choose Them? Great for siege-focused defenses, though less versatile for lower-level keeps. Mounted Troop Generals Top Pick: Haakan (increases mounted troop attack and HP by 50%, ground and mounted defense by 40%). Others: Queen Boudica (5th place, still strong for free-to-play players), Takenaka Shigeharu . Why Choose Them? Essential for T1 Trap strategies or layered T1 Defense with higher-tier mounted troops. Note on Queen Boudica : As a free-to-play staple, she’s a solid choice for early-game players but lacks value for pure T1 mounted trap strategies. She shines with higher-tier mounted troops for T1 Defense. Special Mention : Takenaka Shigeharu ranks high across multiple categories due to his versatility, but he’s difficult to obtain for non-spenders. Optimizing Your General’s Equipment : Advanced Refining To maximize your wall defense, refining your general’s equipment is key. Let’s look at my setup with Queen Boudica (5-star ascended, focused on mounted and ground troops): Current Equipment Koryo Bow: Flat refines with one percentage refine (needs optimization). Helmet: Flat refines. Parthian & Leg Armor: Flat refines. Koryo Boots: Includes a “Grand Troop Load” refine (needs to be changed to mounted troop defense). Bracers: Flat refines for main troop attack, but far from advanced refining. Advanced Refining Tips What Is It? Advanced refining unlocks additional buffs (e.g., 14.5% all-troop attack on Koryo Bow at level 25) once all four slots on a piece of equipment are gold-refined. How to Unlock: Refine equipment (e.g., Koryo or Scythian sets) to four gold slots, then use refine stones (50 chances per day per equipment piece) for advanced refines. My Plan: Convert the “Grand Troop Load” on Koryo Boots to a mounted troop defense flat refine and work on gold refines for bracers and helmet to unlock advanced options. Pro Tip: Focus on premium equipment sets (Koryo , Scythian) as regular equipment doesn’t support advanced refining. Stockpile refine stones (I have 353K) for valuable event tabs to boost your progress. Choosing the Right Assistant General Your assistant general can significantly enhance your wall defense buffs. I’ve been using Isaac Brock (in-city ground and mounted attack/HP +30%, defense +20%), but research suggests better options for a mounted-focused defense: Haakan: Boosts mounted troop attack and HP by 50%, ground and mounted defense by 40% when leading the army. Likely viable as an assistant despite not being a dedicated defense general. Zhang Fei: Offers similar buffs (ground troop attack/HP +50%, defense +40%) and is recommended for ground-focused keeps but could work for mounted setups. Question for You : Is Haakan a good assistant for Queen Boudica, or am I misinterpreting the “leading the army” buffs for wall defense? Share your thoughts in the comments! My Strategy Moving Forward Given my current setup and free-to-play approach, here’s my plan: Stick with Queen Boudica: She’s a solid choice for my mounted-focused T1 Trap strategy, but I’ll need to bolster my T1 mounted troops to 300M+. Wait for a New Defense General: With 56 epic historic general tokens (50 premium, 6 glory), I’m saving for a new mounted or main city defense general. Evony’s next release (especially with K50 on the horizon) should offer a high drop rate (17-20%) for a new general, ideal for ascending to 5-star. Optimize Equipment: Prioritize advanced refining on Koryo equipment to boost mounted troop buffs. Reevaluate Assistant: Test Haakan as an assistant general and monitor community feedback for better options. Community Insights: What Do You Think? I’m still refining my approach, and I’d love your input: Who’s your go-to wall defense general? Are you running a T1 Trap or T1 Defense? Is Haakan a viable assistant for Queen Boudica, or should I consider someone else like Zhang Fei? Should I wait for a new mounted general or a dedicated main city defense general? - Evony Refines for Dummies: Flats vs. Percentages Explained (2025 Guide)
A Guide to Refines on Evony Welcome back to Empire Build Academy! I’m Favian, and today we’re diving into a topic that’s confused me for ages: flat vs. percentage refines in Evony: The King’s Return. I’m calling this Refines for Dummies because, honestly, I’ve struggled to wrap my head around this, and I know I’m not alone. If you’ve ever felt lost choosing between flat and percentage buffs for your generals, this beginner-friendly guide is for you. We’ll break down how buffs work, compare flats and percentages with simple math, and help you decide what’s best for your T1 trap, T1 defense, or PvP march. Let’s make this crystal clear and help thousands of players like us master refining in 2025! Understanding Buffs in Evony: The BasicsBefore we tackle refines, let’s understand buffs in Evony. Every troop type—ground, mounted, ranged, and siege—has base stats for attack, defense, and HP. These are universal numbers that all players start with, forming the foundation for your army’s strength. For example: T1 Mounted: 220 attack, 150 defense, 400 HP. T14 Mounted: 4,400 defense (much higher!). When you check your troops in the barracks (e.g., T14 mounted), you’ll see green numbers for attack, defense, HP, and load. These are nominal stats, which combine: Base Stats: Fixed values for each troop tier (T1 to T16). Buffs: Boosts from your Monarch, Senate, seals, or gear. For instance, my keep has a 214.1% ground troop attack buff from the Monarch’s military section, plus flat boosts like single ground troop attack. Green numbers mean the stat is variable (you can boost it). White numbers (e.g., range, speed) are fixed, though speed might be adjustable with specific books (we’ll skip that for now to keep things simple). Flats vs. Percentages: What’s the Difference? When refining gear (like Civilization or Parthian gear) for your generals, you choose between: Flat Refines: Add a fixed number to a stat, like +724 to mounted defense. This stays the same across all troop tiers (T1 to T16). Percentage Refines: Multiply the base stat by a percentage, like 30% (though 25% is more realistic). These scale with the troop’s base stat, so they’re bigger for higher tiers. Key Difference: Flats shine for lower-tier troops (T1-T10) because their base stats are small, so a flat boost has a big impact. Percentages are better for higher-tier troops (T11-T16) because their larger base stats get a massive boost from percentages. Let’s use mounted defense as an example to compare flats and percentages for T1 and T14 troops, using my Queen Boudica’s Coro Boots as a reference. Example: T1 vs. T14 Mounted DefenseHere’s the math, simplified for clarity:T1 Mounted Defense (Base Stat: 150) Flat Refine: Max is 724. Add to base: 150 + 724 = 874. With four slots (max refines): 4 × 724 = 2,896 extra defense. Percentage Refine: Max is 30%. Calculate 30% of 150: 150 × 0.3 = 45. Add to base: 150 + 45 = 195. With four slots: 4 × 45 = 180 extra defense. Result: Flats give 2,896 vs. percentages’ 180—flats are 16 times more effective for T1s!T14 Mounted Defense (Base Stat: 4,400) Flat Refine: Add 724: 4,400 + 724 = 5,124. With four slots: 4 × 724 = 2,896 extra defense. Percentage Refine: 30% of 4,400: 4,400 × 0.3 = 1,320. Add to base: 4,400 + 1,320 = 5,720. With four slots: 4 × 1,320 = 5,280 extra defense. Result: Percentages give 5,280 vs. flats’ 2,896—percentages are better for T14s.Quick Tip: If the percentage boost (e.g., 1,320 for T14) is higher than the flat refine (724), percentages are better without needing to add to the base stat. When to Use Flats vs. PercentagesWall Defense: T1 Trap vs. T1 Defense T1 Trap Keeps: If you’re running a T1 trap (e.g., 300M+ T1 mounted with thin upper-tier layers), use flat refines. T1s have tiny base stats (150 defense), so flats like 724 make a huge difference. T1 traps rely on massive troop counts (200-300M) to leverage these flat buffs. For example, my keep has 290M T1 mounted but lacks enough to be a true trap, so flats would still work here. T1 Defense (Layered): If your keep has significant T12-T15 troops (e.g., millions of T14s), use percentage refines. These boost higher-tier troops (e.g., T14s with 4,400 defense) more effectively. My Queen Boudica (boosts in-city ground/mounted HP by 15%, mounted attack by 30%) is better for layered defenses with higher tiers, but I don’t have enough T14s (only 370K) to maximize her, so I’m planning to switch generals. PvP Marches Upper-Tier Marches: For PvP marches (e.g., my Marcus Agrippa archer march with T12-T15), percentage refines are best. Higher-tier troops (T12+) have large base stats (e.g., 4,444 for T14 archers), and percentages scale better. My Marcus Agrippa has some flat refines (oops!), which I need to swap for percentages to boost my T12-T15 layers. Exception: Small Siege Marches: For T11 siege marches, flats can be better. For T11 siege attack (base 1,940): Flat: 1,940 + 513 = 2,453. Percentage: 1,940 × 0.3 = 582 + 1,940 = 2,522. Percentages are slightly better, but flats can’t be debuffed, making them safer for T11 siege attack. My Mistakes and How to Avoid ThemI’ve been messing up my refines! My Marcus Agrippa has flat refines (e.g., 1,096 attack) when it should be all percentages for my T12-T15 archer march. My percentages are also low (e.g., 18.2% instead of 30%), costing me precious buffs. For Queen Boudica, I’m stuck between a T1 trap and T1 defense—I have 290M T1 mounted but only 370K T14s, making her percentage-based buffs less effective. I’m saving tokens to switch to a new general better suited for my T1-heavy keep.Lessons Learned: Check Your Troop Composition: Flats for T1 traps (300M+ T1s); percentages for layered defenses or PvP with T12+. Maximize Percentages: Aim for 25-30% on percentage refines to boost higher tiers effectively. Fix Bad Refines: Use Practical Tips for Refining Know Your Base Stats: Check sites like Evony Guides Wiki or Evony Mickey for base stats (e.g., T1 mounted: 150 defense; T14 mounted: 4,400 defense). Spreadsheets are great, but I struggle with them—use online guides if you’re like me! Do the Math: Compare flat refine values (e.g., 724 for mounted defense) to percentage boosts (e.g., 30% of base stat). If the percentage boost exceeds the flat value, go percentages. Consider Gear Type: Civilization gear has higher flat refines (e.g., 724 for mounted defense) than Parthian gear. Check max refines for your gear. Account for Buff Sources: Green numbers include buffs from Senate, seals, and Monarch, but not gear. Universal buffs (e.g., +4% in-city ranged/siege HP) are reflected in green stats. Fix Mistakes: If you have flats on a PvP march (like me!), swap them out. For example, my food gathering speed refine on Queen Boudica’s gear is useless—I need to replace it with mounted defense. Final Thoughts Choosing between flat and percentage refines comes down to your keep’s setup: T1 Trap: Use flats for T1-heavy keeps (300M+ T1s) to maximize low base stats (e.g., 2,896 defense for T1 mounted). T1 Defense or PvP Marches: Use percentages for T12+ troops to boost high base stats (e.g., 5,280 defense for T14 mounted). Siege Exception: Consider flats for T11 siege attack due to debuff resistance, but percentages for T15 or HP/defense. Check Your Setup: If you’re like me (stuck between T1 trap and defense), assess your troop counts and switch generals or refines accordingly.
