How to Effectively Use Archer Queen in Clash of Clans

ARCHER QUEEN - CLASH OF CLANS

The Empire Build Academy

The Archer Queen is like a super-powered Archer! She's our second Hero, and you can unlock her at Town Hall 9. She's got way more damage and hitpoints than a regular Archer, and she can shoot 1.5 tiles farther too (5 tiles instead of 3.5 tiles).

The Archer Queen

The Archer Queen is like a super-powered Archer! She's our second Hero, and you can unlock her at Town Hall 9. She's got way more damage and hitpoints than a regular Archer, and she can shoot 1.5 tiles farther too (5 tiles instead of 3.5 tiles).

The Archer Queen

When she takes aim, the Archer Queen fires off 3 quick arrows at a single target. Pretty impressive, right? You can bring her into battle by building the Archer Queen Altar for 10,000 Dark Elixir.

Once she's summoned, the Archer Queen is here to stay. But if she takes a beating in a fight, she'll need to catch some Z's and recharge her health before she's ready to go again. So be sure to keep an eye on her and give her the rest she needs to keep fighting strong!

The Archer Queen is always ready to protect the village, except when she's recovering from a battle. She stays close to her altar, but will back off if drawn too far away. If she's healing or being upgraded, her altar will be unguarded.

In the Home Village, our heroes have a cool "extra life" feature. When the Archer Queen is fully healed, she actually has two life bars - the first one you see next to her level, and the second one represented by a heart at the end of the first bar. It's like having double the protection!

When the Archer Queen is out there bravely attacking, any damage she takes is first taken from her special extra life bar. Her regular life bar will only start to go down once the extra life bar is completely used up. If she gets defeated during battle, her full life bar will be depleted - and if her extra life bar is still full when this happens, it will be completely drained first before affecting her regular life bar.

But don't worry, when the Archer Queen is defending, her life bars won't be affected at all by any damage she may take. Both her regular life bar and extra life bar will regenerate at the same rate, but her regular life bar will fully regenerate before her extra life bar kicks in. So, if both bars are empty, it will take twice as long for them to fully regenerate compared to just one bar.

In the game, the listed regeneration time is how long it takes for one of the life bars to regenerate. Just keep in mind that it will take twice as long for both life bars to be fully back up and running after they've been emptied. So, keep an eye on those life bars and make sure to give the Archer Queen the time she needs to recover!

To engage the Queen in battle, make sure her life bar is fully charged first. If she's not at full health after a fight, she'll need some rest to recover before she can join the next battle. The time she needs to rest will depend on how much health she's missing.

Hero regeneration kicks in as soon as you start looking for an opponent in Multiplayer Battle. So, if you take some time to find an opponent before attacking, part of the regeneration process will be done by the time you get back to your village. But if you decide to cancel the attack by hitting "End Battle" before completing it, the regeneration will start over. This is more evident in the higher leagues before legend, where finding tough opponents can take a while.

Want to give your Archer Queen a healing boost? You can quadruple her healing rate for an hour by spending just 5 Gems!

The Archer Queen has a special ability that lets her regenerate health during battles. Plus, the equipment she wields can add even more effects to this ability. When you unlock her, she'll start with the Archer Puppet and Invisibility Vial.

And here's the best part - every fifth level, her health regeneration gets even stronger! So keep upgrading and watch her heal like a pro.

The Archer Puppet lets the Archer Queen call upon a bunch of Archers that are on par with your own Archers.

Using the Invisibility Vial will make the Archer Queen invisible and buff her damage a lot for a short time.

You have the option to pick between different Hero Equipment's at the Blacksmith, so you can mix and match her skills along with her default gear.

The Giant Arrow fires an arrow that travels through the whole village, causing damage along the way.

With the Healer Puppet, you can bring in Healers to assist.

When using the Frozen Arrow, her attacks will slow down defences, enemy Heroes, and Clan Castle troops.

Did you know that the Archer Queen can attack air troops like Balloons, Dragons, or Minions, which makes her great at protecting your village from players who use air raids? Unlike the Barbarian King, she's got that covered!

Have you heard of the Queen Charge? It's a cool variation of the Queen Walk where the goal is to target the core of the enemy base and take out key defences. To make sure the Queen and her Healers get to the core, you might need to use Wall Breakers, Jump Spells, or even Baby Dragons for funnelling. Once she's in, activate her abilities to start wiping out those defences!

If you find your Queen and Healers need a little extra boost, try using Rage Spells. They'll help the Healers heal faster, ensuring your Queen stays strong. And don't forget about Freeze Spells - they're great for stopping pesky defences like Inferno Towers. If you want to keep your Queen safe, the Overgrowth Spell can help divert her attention and prevent her from taking too much damage.

If you're facing Air Mines, they can take out your troops, including Healers. To protect your Healers, try using Balloons to absorb the damage. These Balloons are affectionately known as "coco loons." Bring 3 or 4 of them, and any extras can be used like regular Balloons.

You can also use Unicorns instead of Healers. But for the best healing, it's common to use both together to keep your Archer Queen alive and kicking. It's all about maximizing her survivability!

The Archer Queen's Royal Cloak Ability is pretty cool – it stops defences from going after her directly, which is super helpful. But remember, she can still get hit by splash damage! So, if her Archer pals get caught in the crossfire of a Mortar or Scattershot, she could get hurt too. Ouch!

Also, Royal Cloak won't save her from Bombs or Giant Bombs. If she's close by when those go off, she'll feel the boom, ability or not. Gotta watch out for those sneaky traps!

The Royal Cloak ability works wonders against single-target Inferno Towers! When used, it not only resets the Inferno Tower's damage but also often redirects the damage onto a summoned Archer. The Queen can then easily take out the Inferno Tower with her damage under the cloak, while the Archers can provide excellent cover and overwhelm the Inferno if it's not well-defended by splash defences or other multi-targeting Infernos.

It's important to note that activating the Royal Cloak won't stop projectiles (like Cannon shots) already targeting the Archer Queen from hitting her. So, if the Eagle Artillery has already locked on and fired on the Queen, activating the Royal Cloak won't prevent the shots from hitting her, causing significant damage. However, if you activate the Cloak just before the Eagle Artillery fires, it will prevent it from targeting your Queen as usual, keeping her safe during the attack.

The Archer Queen, just like all heroes, can bypass Spring Traps so feel free to use her to trigger them without worry.

Consider grouping the Archer Queen with your other heroes for a balanced attack strategy. The Barbarian King can take hits, the Archer Queen can attack from a distance, the Grand Warden can provide support with his Life Aura, and the Royal Champion can take out defences. Don't forget about the troops in the Clan Castle, they benefit from the Grand Warden's support too! They can help defend and stall alongside the heroes.

This tactic is known as a hero dive, where you carefully send in your heroes to target key defences. This can help with creating a funnel, taking out tough defences, or gaining more percentage points.

When you send in the Archer Queen and other heroes with minimal support (up to about 25 housing space of troops), it's called a Sui Queen. This strategy works best for taking out outer parts of the base and important targets deeper inside.

Be cautious when facing off against the Barbarian King! If your Archer Queen is at the same level or only 5 levels below the King, he can take her down in a 1v1. To boost your Queen's chances, make sure to have healers by her side or deploy powerful troop like Wizards to defeat the King quickly. If possible, bring along Head-hunters for extra firepower.

Keep in mind that the Archer Queen's Royal Cloak ability can make her a new target, which may not always work in your favour. For example, when up against an Electro Dragon, using the ability could lead to her being hit twice by the Dragon's Chain Lightning attack. So stay alert and plan your strategy carefully!

If you don't always need to use the Archer Queen's ability during battle, no worries! If she doesn't use her ability and the battle ends, she will recover health equal to her ability recovery afterwards.

The most popular Pet to pair with the Archer Queen is the Unicorn, as it helps her regain health over time, making her tougher in battle. If the Unicorn is being upgraded, you can use the Phoenix instead, which can also extend the Queen's lifespan and boost her damage output.

Additionally, the Phoenix can revive the Archer Queen if she is defeated while using her ability, giving her a chance to continue wreaking havoc. So, make the most of her powerful ability with the right Pet by her side!

Upgrading your Archer Queen's equipment is crucial for boosting her performance on the battlefield.

A great combination for the Archer Queen is the Frozen Arrow and Invisibility Vial. This combo slows down enemy defences and makes her invisible, increasing her damage output while reducing incoming damage. Just keep in mind that if you're using a pet, it won't turn invisible and may be at risk of dying early, leaving the Queen vulnerable.

There are other effective combos as well. Pairing the Frozen Arrow with the Healer Puppet gives the Archer Queen extra healers for more health recovery. The Invisibility Vial and Healer Puppet combo guarantees consistent healing, while the Giant Arrow and Invisibility Vial combo is great for ZapQuake Attacks. Each combo offers its own benefits to enhance your Archer Queen's performance on the battlefield.

Defensive Strategy

When setting up your defence in Clash of Clans, consider the advantages of using the Archer Queen over the Barbarian King. The Archer Queen's fast attacks, powerful hits, and ability to attack air units make her a great choice for defence. Just keep in mind that she has lower health compared to the Barbarian King.

To maximize the Archer Queen's effectiveness, place her altar 3-4 spaces away from the nearest wall. This will help prevent her from being targeted by melee troops.

Remember to protect your key defences by keeping them at least 5 tiles away from any open spaces. This will make it harder for the Archer Queen to snipe them.

Lastly, keep your Eagle Artillery away from the Archer Queen's altar to avoid it being destroyed by strategies like Electrone or Blizzard. By following these tips, you can strengthen your defence and protect your village from enemy attacks.

When facing an Archer Queen, your best bet is often to send in your own Archer Queen. Let her lead the charge or support her with tank troops to quickly take down the enemy Queen, especially when her Royal Cloak ability kicks in.

While tanking troops can help, they won't last long against an Archer Queen. For instance, a maxed Golem can only hold out for about 10-11 seconds against a max-level Archer Queen, not to mention other defences targeting it.

If your Barbarian King is at a similar level, you can use him as a tank to take down the enemy Archer Queen, as long as she's not hiding behind a wall. Just make sure he's not being attacked by nearby defences or Clan Castle troops. If needed, activate the King's ability to defeat the Queen even faster.

If the Archer Queen is hanging out near the base's edge, consider sending in a Barbarian King to take her out. You may want to use the King's Ability if he's not levelled up much.

To make the takedown easier, think about bringing along spells like a Poison Spell to slow the Queen's attacks, a Skeleton Spell to distract her, or a Freeze Spell to give your troops a chance to overpower her.

The Grand Warden's Eternal Tome ability is great for keeping your troops alive while they attack an Archer Queen. Since she doesn't have a lot of health, the short duration of the ability usually isn't a problem.

If the defending Archer Queen is low levelled, you can try using high-level Lightning Spells to defeat her. But this isn't the most reliable strategy, as you can't always guarantee she'll be taken out if you don't bring enough firepower.

Against higher-level Archer Queens, the strategy can still be handy if you bring along enough Lightning Spells to take out key buildings along with her (like the Eagle Artillery).

Just like the Barbarian King or Royal Champion, Headhunters are great at zeroing in on the Archer Queen in high-level strategies such as Lavaloon, where other troops struggle to target her effectively. But sending Headhunters in on their own is a sure-fire way for them to get wiped out by the Queen or defences nearby.

Hero Equipment

When the Archer Queen goes into battle, she can choose two pieces of Hero Equipment from the list below. These items will enhance her abilities and give her extra stat bonuses.

Just remember, the Archer Queen doesn't need any Hero Equipment when she's defending. She's tough enough on her own!
