Evony's November 7, 2025 patch (5.12.0) quietly dropped Officer Skill Books—the game-changing way to slap +2-5% buffs on your duty officers (Hospital, Warehouse, Research Factory, etc.). If you're a F2P trap keeper like me (Favian, Empire Build Academy) and missed this in the flood of Henry IV hype, you're not alone. This quick guide covers where to buy, what books drop, why they're all attack-focused right now, and how to attach them FAST. Plus, Wisdom Dome got a secret buff upgrade—minimum advanced attributes boosted on purple/orange books (auto-upgraded if you owned them!). Let's gear up your officers before the next rally hits.
Officer Skill Books: The Basics (Only for Duty Officers!)
Who Can Use Them? Only generals assigned as duty officers (check "Officer" tab in General menu).
Where to Buy? Academy → Skill Book → Duty tab.
Cost? Refresh with gold (free first, then escalating)—Level 1 books only so far.
Event Packs: Limited-time Valuable Event bundles during "Officer Skillbook Package Service."
Current pool = 100% attack-focused:
Hospital Officer: +Attacking Ground HP
Warehouse Officer: +Attacking Mounted Attack
Research Factory: +Attacking Siege Defense
My 10 refreshes: ZERO defense books. Future updates promised more (fingers crossed for in-city HP!).
How to Attach Officer Skill Books – Step-by-Step
Buy book (e.g., Hospital Officer Lv.1 +Attacking Ground HP).
Go to General → Duty Officer (e.g., Skanderbeg as Hospital).
Special tab → Attach → Select book.
Buff live instantly!
Demo: Skanderbeg now +2% attacking ground HP—small, but stacks with Blazons/Wisdom Dome.
Wisdom Dome Secret Buff (Auto-Upgraded!)
