Evony Rare Blazon Exchange Event – Can You Really Fix Your Blazons?

Evony Rare Blazon Exchange Event – Can You Really Fix Your Blazons?

The new Evony Rare Blazon Exchange Event has arrived in Evony: The King’s Return, and on paper, it looks like a game-changer.

Finally, a way to fix terrible blazons.

But as with most things in Evony… there’s a catch.

And yes — there’s a paywall.

Let’s break it down properly.

The Evony Rare Blazon Exchange Event Explained

This limited-time event allows you to exchange:

  • 150 Junior Blazon Chests

  • Blazon Vouchers (paid item)

In return, you receive:

  • Iron Blood Blazon Chest

  • Guaranteed Level 10 Blazon

  • Three matching core base attributes

That guaranteed Level 10 is huge.

For players like me — whose blazons are genuinely all over the place — this sounds like the perfect fix.

The Catch: Blazon Vouchers Cost Money

Here’s where reality hits.

Each exchange requires a Blazon Voucher, costing around £9.99.

Even if you’ve saved thousands of Junior Blazon Chests (I had over 2,000 saved), you still need paid vouchers to convert them.

Yes, you can use the Triple Down Coupon to get three vouchers for £10.

But if you want 6–9 exchanges?

You’re spending £20–£30 quickly.

Buying Junior Blazon Chests directly is even more expensive — 200 for £100.

That makes saving them over time extremely valuable.

The Real Problem: RNG Set Matching

Even if you purchase multiple chests, there’s no guarantee you’ll complete a full matching set.

For example:

  • Valor (Attack-focused)

  • Compassion (Defense-focused)

  • Other variants with different base stats

I opened three ranged blazons and got:

  • Range HP

  • Range Defense

  • Rally Range Attack

Useful individually.

But not a clean attacking set.

That’s the frustration.

Flexible Specialty Update – Level Cap Increased to 220

Another major update this week:

The Battle-Tested Specialty can now be upgraded to Level 220.

What this means:

  • Additional buffs

  • Potential troop debuffs

  • Requires large amounts of Runestones

Upgrading from Level 100 upward becomes expensive fast.

For example, 100 Runestones per upgrade — and I only had 725 saved.

If choosing where to invest, defensive generals like Queen Boudica may offer longer-term value compared to attacking generals you might replace later.

Is the Rare Blazon Exchange Worth It?

Here’s the honest answer:

✅ Great if you’ve saved thousands of chests✅ Strong if you’re targeting a specific troop type❌ Expensive if starting from zero❌ Risky due to RNG set distribution

This event can improve your account.

But it won’t magically fix everything unless you spend.

Final Thoughts

The Rare Blazon Exchange is one of the better quality-of-life events we’ve seen.

However, it’s still partially locked behind spending.

If you budget small monthly (like £10–£20), combining it with events like Sulis Wishing Pool gives slightly better value.

But don’t expect perfection from a few purchases.

Evony always reminds us:

There’s always a “but.”

What Do You Think?

  • Are you using the Rare Blazon Exchange?

  • Did you complete a full set?

  • Are you upgrading specialties to Level 220?

Let me know your experience.

And if you’re planning to fix your blazons this event — I hope your RNG is better than mine.
