Is Hannibal a solid general choice in Evony?

Once fully levelled and with his specializations maxed out, Hannibal boasts one of the highest mounted attacks against monsters and other players. Plus, his final specialization gives his mounted troops a whopping 36% HP boost!

If you're lucky enough to recruit Hannibal from Relics, he's definitely worth including in your line-up. What's more, you can even ascend him! With plenty of fragments available in Relics, this makes Hannibal a fantastic option for players who prefer not to spend money in the game.

Hannibal – Special Skill

Just wanted to let you know that a General's Special Skill in Evony is always active and doesn't need any upgrading. Be sure to read the description carefully to make sure it's working the way you want it to.

Also, you can ascend this General through the Evony General Ascending feature. Each star level you ascend will give an extra boost to the General's Special skill.

Master of Strategy

This skill increases ground troops and mounted troops' attack by 15%, and boosts mounted troops' attack by another 20% when the General leads the army in an attack.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Here are the extra boosts that an ascended Hannibal gets to his Special Skill at each ascended star level:

1 Star: Marching Mounted Troop and Ground Troop Attack increase by 10%, and Defence goes up by 10%.

2 Star: Troop Death into Wounded Rate increases by 10% when the General is leading the army in an attack.

3 Star: Boosts your Rally Capacity by 8% when the General starts the Alliance War.

4 Star: Gives a 10% increase in attack and HP for Ground Troops and Mounted Troops when on the march.

5 Star: Provides a hefty 15% boost to attack for Mounted Troops, along with a 20% increase in defence and HP.

Hannibal's Specialties

Once your Evony General hits level 25, you'll unlock some awesome skills like Mounted Troop Assault and Battle of Cannae. These skills can be a bit pricey to level up, requiring Gems and Runestones.
