Is Stephen II a strong general in Evony?

Stephen II is a superb choice for both Siege PvP and Siege Defense roles. However, he’s unable to equip a Siege Machine Attack Skill Book, so maximizing his potential requires substantial investment. Additionally, he can be challenging to acquire, which may complicate Ascension and often relegates him to an Assistant General role. While his Specialties also boost Ranged Troops, tempting some to use him for a mixed Ranged Troop and Siege Machine march, this only becomes practical once his Specialties are fully developed—and even then, there are much stronger options for Ranged Generals available.

Stephen II – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no further development. Be sure to carefully read the description to confirm it delivers the effect you’re expecting.

Note that this General can be enhanced through the Evony General Ascending feature, with each ascended star level adding an extra buff to his Special Skill.

Boosts siege machines’ attack by 50% and increases their defense and HP by 40% when the General is leading the army.

2 Star: Boosts the rate of attacking troop deaths converting to wounded by 8%.

3 Star: Raises siege machine attack by 25% and march size capacity by 8%.

4 Star: Enhances siege machine defense by 15% and HP by 15%.

5 Star: Elevates siege machine attack by 35%, and increases defense and HP by 25%.
