Your Ultimate Guide to Battle Copter in Clash of Clans
Battle Copter
Time to hop in the Copter! Sick of breaking down Walls, the Master Builder's new flying contraption lets him glide right over them. The Battle Copter packs a punch with its strong cannons for long-range attacks; or can dive in for a closer fight with its Bomb Rush move.

The Battle Copter is the second Hero you unlock in the Builder Base. To build it, you'll need a level 8 Builder Hall and 2,500,000 Builder Elixir. Once it's constructed, the Battle Copter starts at level 15, which is a big boost towards the level 5 upgrade requirement for the B.O.B Control.
This flying Hero attacks from a distance and is controlled by the Master Builder. When not in battle, it rests on the Battle Copter Altar. However, like the Battle Machine, the Battle Copter won't defend your Builder Base when it's under attack.
The Battle Copter has a cool move called Bomb Rush! When you activate this ability, the Battle Copter will heal itself a bit and zoom towards its target building to drop a bomb up close, causing some serious area damage. As you level up, this ability gets even better every 5 levels.
You can charge up this ability in three different levels depending on how long you wait to use it. The longer you wait, the more damage the bomb will do, and the bigger the explosion will be. Plus, your Battle Copter will heal more with each level of charge.
When you first use the ability, it will start at level 1. It takes about 40 seconds to charge up to level 3, so get ready to unleash some serious firepower!
Effective Strategy
The Battle Copter's ability to shoot from a distance is a huge advantage, as it can target buildings without getting hit by defences too much. While it may not be able to outshoot most anti-air defences, it can still support other troops like the Baby Dragon or Drop Ship from a distance.
Since the Battle Copter doesn't do a lot of damage on its own, it's a good idea to team it up with heavy hitters like Baby Dragons or Beta Minions. You can also team it up with a Cannon Cart to take down large sections of a base in a safe way. Happy battling!
The Bomb Rush ability can also be used for testing traps and taking down ground defences in an area. However, it doesn't work well with the Copter. While it offers health regeneration and an AOE attack, it puts the Battle Copter too close to enemies, making it an easy target. This makes it hard to charge up another ability or take out surrounding threats. But, there are specific situations where the ability can still be useful, making it a bit of a niche skill.
The ability to regenerate health allows the unit to execute desperate attacks known as Hail Mary attacks when its health is low. However, the effectiveness of these attacks is determined by the charge level of the ability. For instance, at charge level 1, the bomb's area of effect is so small that it only hits one target.
But at charge level 3, the bomb can instantly take out Zappies spawned from O.T.T.O's Outpost that are at a similar level, eliminating a potential obstacle for your defence. So, keep an eye on your charge level to make the most out of your attacks!
Effective Defence Strategy Against Battle Copter
Anti-air defences like Air Bombs, Firecrackers, Mega Tesla, or the Roaster work wonders against the Battle Copter. Make sure to place these buildings within the Battle Copter's attack range to inflict maximum damage.
Firecrackers may take some time to bring down the Battle Copter because of its high HP, so having multiple Firecrackers in one area is a smart move.
The X-Bow (set to air) may not have high DPS, but its long range allows it to slowly chip away at the Battle Copter's health. Unlike other defenses, the X-Bow can target the Copter even when it's attacking a different building nearby. It's a great addition to your defense strategy!
One way to stall attackers using the Battle Copter is by placing high-hitpoint buildings like Gold Storages in its path. This can help eat up their time and slow down their progress.
To deal with the Battle Copter more effectively, consider setting up Mega Mines in air mode around your base or near your defences. These powerful mines can quickly take down the Battle Copter, especially when paired with strong anti-air defences.
Remember, a well-placed Mega Mine can make all the difference in defending against the Battle Copter!
